BJM - Fuel - Cayetano Solo
Yet another shot from the same dancer series. I’m wondering how many of these I should put up… got a whole bunch but scared to have them too repetitive!
Had some great feedback so far though, glad you guys love what you see :)

About 3 months ago I was hired by Ballet Jazz Montreal to have a live photoshoot at la Place des Arts to represent a choreography of Cayetano Solo’s piece - “Fuel”. For the shoot, we rented a 200$ dry ice fog machine that we actually overused to the point of freezing haha… the smoke output was pretty amazing though! Was an amazing day… and everyone loved the results :) !!
I finally got permission to release a couple shots… hope you like them!
Alan Khol was on site hired to film a BTS and if you’re interseted, please check it out here: http://vimeo.com/32205689
Strobist Info:
2x Einsteins and 2x WL X1600s on either side of the models (about 90 degrees) in extra large/large softboxs respectively
Triggered with Cybersyncs

I was recently offered the chance to give a review on an Igus w1080b slider review from www.igus.com. Deciding to make things a little more exciting by adding a little bit of shine and sparkle, I used the opportunity to shoot local visual kei guitar player Yameki and create some DIY bokeh in the video review.

On a sea of clouds ft. Kim TYO
Second shot from the shoot that was actually featured in the Video. This was the original concept… to have a girl lying in a sea of clouds.
To give the illusion, we actually had some low hanging fog machine that was chilled with dry ice that gave a nice textured smoke without rising too high. The ring of grids I had around the model actually helped restrain the smoke and we had her above the surface of the smoke by having her lie down on my massive photo bag (yay for improvisation!)

Ariel from OneSum contacted me about a couple months back looking for a photographer to help him come up with a crazy photo concept for the MSN network sponsored by Ford. The idea was to come up with a setup that was crazy enough to stand out and to produce exceptional results with only 10 minutes of shooting time.
If you guys are interested to see the ridiculous setup which involved me sitting on top of a couple 2x4s laid down between two 16 foot ladders … click here: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150324730733515&set=a.379553213514.159018.277965913514&type=3&theater
